HEZREEN MORGAN

I am a Clinical ACA Level 4 registered counsellor and an accredited supervisor with the ACA College of Supervisors, dedicated to supporting young people, adults, and families through their unique challenges. With over 11 years of counselling experience in non-profit organisations, I bring knowledge and compassion to my practice. My tertiary qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in social science, specialising in counselling, and a Master’s degree in Social Work, which have strengthened my practice skills in systemic and integrative approaches to therapy and supervision.
My counselling expertise spans mental health concerns, grief and loss, trauma, racial identity, migration challenges, and relationship and parenting difficulties. I specialise in supporting young people who have experienced harm and abuse, ensuring their safety and well-being remain central to the therapeutic process. As a cancer survivor, I deeply understand the impact of life-threatening and chronic illnesses on individuals and families, offering empathy and tailored support during these challenging times.
In addition to my counselling practice, I have worked in diverse therapeutic roles, including community services, allied health settings, domestic and family violence advocacy, and as a well-being coach for an insurance work-cover wellness program. I also provide professional supervision for counsellors, fostering their growth and professional development in a supportive and collaborative environment.
My practice is rooted in creating a safe, nurturing, and collaborative space where clients can feel comfortable to explore and grow. I am passionate about empowering clients to discover their strengths, build resilience, and work towards positive change at their own pace. My approach integrates evidence-based counselling techniques with a focus on self-love, hope, and holistic well-being.
Whether you’re seeking therapy or professional supervision, I aim to support you on your journey to reaching your best potential. Together, we will explore possibilities, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change in your life.

My approach to counselling:
In my practice, I apply an integrative therapy approach, combining theories and techniques from various counselling modalities to provide a personalised, inclusive, and holistic experience. A systemic approach underpins my practice, helping me understand the interconnectedness of individual experiences within larger systems such as family, community, and society. I focus on the whole person, considering their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships, and biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors. This allows me to tailor my therapeutic work to each client’s needs, ensuring a collaborative and empowering process.
I also incorporate a values-based framework to support clients in identifying and aligning with their values, which is foundational to understanding their emotional triggers and navigating challenges. My work also draws on attachment theory to explore relationship difficulties, helping clients understand patterns in their interpersonal connections and work towards healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I emphasise the importance of the therapeutic alliance, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can develop self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth.
Ultimately, my goal is to help clients achieve mental and emotional wellness while facilitating a process that empowers them to reach their full potential and thrive in their daily lives.
