HEZREEN MORGAN

I provide counselling for young people, adults and families with presenting mental health concerns, grief and loss, trauma, racial identity, migration challenges and relationship and parenting difficulties. I specialise in supporting young people who experienced harm and abuse, ensuring fundamental safety for their well-being. I am also a cancer survivor who understands the challenges and the impact of life-threatening and chronic illnesses on individuals and their families. I am dedicated to supporting every client through my integrative counselling approach in their journey of self-love and hope.

I am an ACA Level 4 registered counsellor and an accredited supervisor with the ACA College of Supervisors. I have a tertiary degree in social science in counselling and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in social work. I have over 10 years of counselling practice experience for a non-profit organisation. My other therapeutic roles have included working in community services, allied health settings, domestic and family violence refuge in an advocacy space and as a well-being coach for an insurance work-cover wellness program. Along with my counselling practice, I also provide supervision for counsellors on professional development.

It is my aim to provide a safe, nurturing, collaborative space and ensure comfort where you can feel relaxed and open to the therapy and supervision experience. I am passionate about empowering you to discover your strengths and explore the possibilities at your pace in reaching your best potential and growing towards positive change.

My approach to counselling:

In my practice, I apply integrative therapy engagement combining different theories and techniques from various counselling modalities to provide a personalised, inclusive, and holistic approach . I focus on the whole person and consider their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships. By considering biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors, I tailor my therapeutic work to the client’s needs that works best for their unique self. I emphasise the importance of the therapeutic alliance, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can develop greater self-awareness and personal growth. The goal is to help my clients achieve mental and emotional wellness and facilitate a process for them to strive their best potential and thrive in their daily life.
